Iron Shield Records

Iron Shield Records is a German independent metal label based in Berlin, founded in January 2010 by Frank 'Grete' Weiser and Thomas 'Duck' Dargel. Co-founder Weiser died unexpectedly in 2012, and Dargel has continued running the label, which describes its focus as old school/traditional Heavy, Speed, Thrash and Epic Metal with an explicit rejection of 'modern or trendy stuff.' The label works with a cooperation partner for promotion and a third party for distribution, and releases its catalog primarily on CD with select vinyl pressings. As of mid-2026 the label remains actively releasing new titles, with roughly ten CD/LP releases issued in 2025 alone across an international roster of around twenty active bands.
